This is a public dataset from a Brazilian e-commerce platform, featuring information on 100,000 orders placed at the Olist Store between 2016 and 2018. The dataset encompasses orders from various marketplaces in Brazil. Its diverse features enable a comprehensive view of each order, spanning from order status, price, payment, and freight performance to customer location, product attributes, and customer reviews. Additionally, geolocation dataset is provided that associates Brazilian zip codes with latitude/longitude coordinates. It's important to note that this dataset consists of real commercial data, has been anonymized, and any references to companies and partners in the review text have been replaced with the names of Game of Thrones great houses.
This dataset was generously provided by Olist, the largest department store in Brazilian marketplaces. Olist connects small businesses from all over Brazil to channels without hassle and with a single contract. Those merchants are able to sell their products through the Olist Store and ship them directly to the customers using Olist logistics partners.
After a customer purchases the product from Olist Store a seller gets notified to fulfill that order. Once the customer receives the product, or the estimated delivery date is due, the customer gets a satisfaction survey by email where he can give a note for the purchase experience and write down some comments.
In an ever-changing market landscape, customer contentment is closely linked to the smooth integration of product excellence, efficient delivery, and the overall service encounter. This Project aims to transform the comprehension and improvement of customer contentment by exploring the domains of delivery and review sentiment.
